SELECTION QUALIFICATION CRITERIA FOR STATE SQUAD NOMINEES
Players wishing to nominate to participate in the State Trials must meet the following Criteria:
1. Must play in the State Teams Championships representing their Parent Association
2. Would be expected to play in the Metropolitan or Country Teams Championships
3. Must have played in 3 ranked singles
4. Must play in a weekly competition for an affiliated Association
5. The first trial on July 28th and 29th will be an elimination trial where the Selectors will
select the final group to go forward to the 2nd trial on August 4th and 5th
6. Players will be selected on ability and overall performance
Players should be aware that if selected in the State Team they must be prepared to be available for any commitment the State Captain and Manager has set. The weekend of August 18th and 19th has been locked in for all State players and Officials to travel to Albany and this will be a compulsory weekend.
We encourage all players to play darts for their associations in metros/country and State Championships for their Associations. We also realise that due to unforeseen circumstances some players may not be able to fulfil those weekends and our aim is to give players opportunity to excel to state level.
Selectors have the right to include players they consider eligible to participate.

3.0: PLAYING ATTIRE.
3.01: All players’ attire shall conform to the good image of the sport.
Ladies: Dress, Slacks, Skirt, Dress Jeans (Black Only), Tailored Shorts, Shirt/Blouse with collar and sleeves.
Proper footwear must be worn at all times, open toed shoes; thongs, scuffs or sandals must not be worn.
Men: Trousers, Shirt with sleeves, Dress Jeans (Black Only), Dress Shorts, if dress shorts are worn walk
Socks must be worn. Proper footwear must be worn at all times open toed shoes; thongs, scuffs or sandals
must not be worn.
3.02: In all RANKED EVENTS the wearing of jeans and shorts is prohibited.
3.03: UNACCEPTABLE ATTIRE:
Tank Tops, Singlet’s, Bike Shorts, Hot Pants, Leggings, Jeans with holes, cuts, etc in them, whether Dress
Jeans or not. Any Shirts, Jackets, T/Shirts or tops with crude or offensive designs or writing on them, Track
Pants.
The Council or their organisers can refuse any dress considered unsuitable.
3.04: Where medical conditions necessitate the wearing of an attire that does not conform to the above rule, then
specific permission must be obtained from the Council appointed organisers.
3.05: No headgear shall be worn, without the prior permission of the Council appointed organisers, e.g. A Sikh
would qualify for such permission.
3.06: Players are permitted to wear sweatbands on their wrists.
3.07: All players representing the Council in any darts events, interviews and presentations must wear the Council approved playing attire.
3.08: Any player not complying with rule 3.07 will repay all payments, airfares and expenses paid by the Council.
